Traci Reed

Traci Reed is the founder and creative director of Knit Resort, a luxury knitwear development and design studio established in 2018.

An alumna of New York University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, Reed built a formidable career in knitwear, working for prestigious brands such as Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang, and Tory Burch, as well as renowned knitwear studios Knit Resource Center and Stoll America. Her journey has taken her from a modest studio in Manhattan to an expanded facility in Queens, equipped with advanced Stoll computerized machines and industrial hand-flat machines.

Under Reed's leadership, Knit Resort has grown into a premier destination for luxury knitwear, catering to high-end fashion brands, boutique labels, and emerging designers. The studio is celebrated for its exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and personalized approach, ensuring a bright future in the domestic knitwear industry.

Delfina Farias

Delfina Farias is a creative and innovative professional who joined Knit Resort as an intern in 2023. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), she transitioned into a full-time position, where she continues to wear many "work hats." Her favorite aspect of her job is problem-solving projects that utilize novelty yarns and techniques.

With a strong background in regenerative materials practices, Delfina is passionate about working with sustainable-driven companies. She brings a fresh perspective to the team, focusing on eco-friendly and innovative approaches to knitwear design.

Outside of work, Delfina enjoys exploring the world of vintage fashion and conducting market research. She also appreciates cultural experiences, often visiting museums to gain inspiration and broaden her understanding of art and design.

Abby Steger

Abby Steger is a passionate knitwear designer with a diverse background in the fashion industry. She joined Knit Resort in early 2023, bringing her expertise from her previous role at Ralph Lauren. Now based in Florence, Italy, Abby contributes to the team remotely, focusing on client communications, programming, and yarn sourcing.

Abby is enthusiastic about being part of the Knit Resort family and the broader domestic knitting community. She is particularly interested in sustainable yarns and innovative knitting techniques, always looking for new ways to incorporate them into her work. In addition to her professional knitting, Abby enjoys knitting in her leisure time, exploring the outdoors, and indulging in her love for coffee.

Rachel Holloway

Rachel joined the Knit Resort team in 2023, bringing with her a rich background in hand-knit and textile design from her hometown of Montreal, Canada. Within the studio, she takes on various roles, including programming, graphic design work, hand-finishing, pattern and sample development.

Her passion for knitwear is continually fueled by the collaborative efforts of the team to explore the seemingly endless possibilities of yarn in the fashion industry. In her free time, Rachel enjoys delving into new knitting techniques, discovering unique fibers, indulging in a good book, and experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.

Katie Han

Katie Han joined Knit Resort in 2019, driven by a desire to explore a more hands-on approach to knitting after her experience in traditional fashion design roles. She is the Stoll technician at the Rhode Island School of Design, a role that complements her work with Knit Resort, where she has been programming remotely since 2023. Katie's problem-solving skills are continually challenged and honed with each new project she undertakes.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Katie is a practicing artist with a passion for textile crafts. She enjoys exploring a variety of techniques and materials, constantly seeking new ways to express her creativity. Outside of her artistic endeavors, Katie loves spending time outdoors, especially going on hikes with her dog, where she finds inspiration in the natural world.

Maria Leon

Maria's career started in media advertising, where she worked on global client accounts. With over 15 years of experience, she has now embarked on a new adventure at Knit Resort. As a novice in the knitting world, Maria is excited to assist the team wherever needed and learn about the fascinating journey of knitwear development. Outside of work, she loves spending time at the beach with her family of three and can never say no to French fries.
